Nicolas
Nguyen, MD (Email
me) - Nic was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. When he was
sixteen-years-old, he moved to New Jersey and completed high school
in 2 years. His educational endeavors then led him to Boston. He
attended Tufts University, where he double majored in Biology and
French Literature. There, he played varsity tennis under the NCAA,
and also discovered the competitive world of ballroom dancing. He
enjoyed his undergraduate training so much that he decided to pursue
both his medical school and residency training at Tufts. He is very
excited to join the team at Cambridge Health Alliance. Today, Nic
splits his time as a family physician at the Malden Family Medicine
Clinic and as a hospitalist at the Whidden Hospital campus. He likes
the variety that these two settings allow: he gets to know people
very well in the outpatient clinic and is able to care for patients
in the intensive care unit. He also enjoys teaching medical students
and training residents. In his free time, Nic is a creative writer
and still dances at a professional competitive level. He has performed
across America and Europe. More recently, you might have caught
a glimpse of him on "So You Think You Can Dance."
Geoffrey
Pechinsky, MD (Email

from the Boston area, and is excited to return after serving for
eight years in the Navy. He earned a BA from the University of Notre
Dame, and attended medical school at Boston University on the military
health professions scholarship program. After completing residency
at the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center he was stationed with
the Navy in Puerto Rico, then Washington DC. He had planned to return
to civilian life after four years, but when the Navy offered a chance
to go to Spain for four years he and his wife could not resist.
While stationed in sunny Rota, Spain, Geoff served as the department
head of primary care services, and as chairman of the Pharmacy and
Therapeutics Committee and Perinatal Advisory Board. He was also
twice voted by patients as one of top three family physicians Navy
wide. He deployed to the middle east in support of Operation Enduring
Freedom. When not working he travelled whenever possible around
Spain and the rest of Europe.
Geoff practices full spectrum family medicine, including obstetrics.
He is an ALSO and NRP instructor, and enjoys doing and teaching
office based procedures including colposcopy and vasectomy. His
passion is working with an underserved and culturally diverse patient
population. He is fluent in medical Spanish and is forever working
on improving. His wife Kristin is a lawyer, and his son William
is rapidly acquiring a Boston accent now that they are home. Geoff
enjoys spending time with family, running, travel, and reading just
about anything.

meets with the medical students and residents to lecture on topics
involving care of the female patient. She practices the full spectrum
of family medicine including obstetrics and colposcopy. She and
her husband Michael, who is on faculty at Boston University's Otolaryngology
program, enjoy hiking, sailing, and spending time with their son
Harrison.
