OUR FACULTY

The Fellowship Director is Allen F. Shaughnessy, PharmD. Dr. Shaughnessy has been an educator in family medicine for twenty-two years and has been the Fellowship director for four years. He completed his B.S. Pharm. at Temple University and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. He has completed two fellowships, the Faculty Development Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina and the U.S. government's Bureau of Health Professions Primary Care Health Policy Development Fellowship. He currently is completing his dissertation for the University of Dundee Masters in Medical Education.

He is internationally known for his teaching in information mastery and has taught in England, Wales, Spain, Denmark, and Saudi Arabia. In 2002 he received the Innovative Program Award from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. Follow this link to his curriculum vitae.

The Malden-based residency faculty are also involved in the Fellowship as are Drs. Altman and Goodell. Drs. Gordon, Platt, Sawin, and Goodell are also fellowship trained.
